Dear Quilting Friends,

Thanks for your interest in SewFree’s Quilt Retreats.  If you have visited our site before you will see that we have changed our look and as you will see in the following pages, we have changed our focus.  While we still promise to give you a world-class experience at each SewFree Quilt Retreat, for the next year or two our emphasis will be on quilt retreats that provide our quilters with an opportunity to spend this time sewing Quilts of Valor to honor and comfort our combat service members and veterans.

Picture this: an opportunity to sew free from daily responsibilities (no beds to make, no meals to fix); to sew free from daily distractions (no phones or television in the rooms); and to sew for a meaninful cause.   Bring that UFO you have been trying to complete for Quilts of Valor, a new pattern you have wanted to try, or just bring your sewing essentials and we will provide fabric, batting, and backing for your next Quilt of Valor.

Our retreats are created by quilters, for quilters and are staffed entirely by quilters.  the sewing space is generous, well lighted, and close to our dining and sleeping facilities.  Food is important to any successful retreat and we guarantee that Chef Eric Meyhoffer is wonderful and mindful of dietary restrictions of our guests.   the meals are delicious and bountiful.

Our next Quilts of Valor retreat will be held in North Georgia on lovely Lake Louise at the Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa, and is being marketed to quilters in all of QOV Region 8:   Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.  Bring your quilting buddies from home, make this your quilt guild retreat, or meet a new group of BFF’s during retreat week.
